Dreams Shattered Just Days After Marriage
Ram Tiwari, a tea shop owner who lives in Pune, got married to a woman named Pratiksha Tiwari from Kanpur’s Jarouli area in November last year. Like every newlywed, Ram must have had dreams of a happy married life. But those dreams were crushed within just four days of the marriage.
Ram caught Pratiksha laughing and chatting with her ex-boyfriend, Manish Rajawat, on the phone. Though hurt, he chose to forgive her and informed her parents about the situation. Her family took her back to her maternal home for a few days. They then requested Ram to give her another chance, assuring him that she had understood her mistake and promised not to repeat it.
Second Chance – But the Love Affair Continued
Pratiksha returned to her in-laws’ home and pretended to make a fresh start. She even apologized for her actions and promised not to contact her lover again. Both families decided to move on from the incident.
But unknown to anyone, Pratiksha had secretly kept a basic keypad mobile phone and started talking to her lover again behind everyone’s back. She had made up her mind – she was not ready to let go of her past relationship.
The Great Escape – Jewelry and Cash Gone
On April 11, Pratiksha told her family that she was going to the bathroom. But she never came back. She vanished from the house and took along all the jewelry and cash kept in the house. Her husband and in-laws were shocked.
At first, the family tried to find her on their own and searched for her until April 18. When all efforts failed, Ram’s mother went to the police and lodged a complaint. Now, the police are searching for Pratiksha and her lover Manish, who are believed to have eloped together.
