Rajgarh news:-In a shocking case from Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh, a newly married groom got the shock of his life just hours after his wedding. What was supposed to be the happiest night of his life turned into a nightmare when the bride gave him a “surprise” that left him running to his father shouting, “Papa, we’ve been looted!”

🎯 The Background – A Groom’s Long Wait
The story begins in Bankpura village, where a man named Ramgopal had been struggling to get married for years. His family was growing anxious, as every effort to find him a bride had failed.
That’s when a man named Gokul Verma entered the scene. He showed Ramgopal’s father a photo of a girl named Divya Bhagnani and claimed she was ready for marriage. The family liked the girl based on the photo.
But there was a catch — the so-called bride’s father Harish demanded ₹2 lakh as a condition for the marriage.
💰 The Deal – Two Lakhs for a Bride
Ramgopal’s father, desperate to get his son married, sold family jewellery and somehow managed to arrange the money. Once the payment was promised, Gokul and another man named Jamnalal finalized the wedding date.
The wedding was set to take place at the Anjani Lal temple in Biaora town on 23rd April.
💍 The Wedding – Legal & Rituals
On the wedding day, the bride Divya arrived at the temple with Ramgopal and his family. They completed all legal court formalities and then performed traditional wedding rituals — exchanging garlands, taking seven vows (saat phere), and following every custom.
After the wedding, Ramgopal’s father handed over the ₹2 lakh in cash to Gokul and Jamnalal as agreed.
😱 The Shock – Bride Vanishes!
Just when it was time for vidai (the bride’s farewell), Gokul and Jamnalal said they were taking Divya to the bathroom before she leaves for her new home.
While the groom’s family was busy preparing for the farewell, Divya, Gokul, and Jamnalal disappeared from the venue. Minutes turned into hours, but there was no sign of the bride or the two men.
Only then did the family realize — they had been scammed.
🚨 The Aftermath – Police Complaint Filed
Realizing the deception, Ramgopal and his family rushed to the Biaora police station and filed a complaint. A case of fraud and cheating has been registered against Divya Bhagnani, Gokul Verma, and Jamnalal Verma.
Police confirmed that raids are underway to catch the culprits, but as of now, the trio is on the run.
