Pakistan News:-A powerful bomb blast shook Darul Uloom Haqqania, a well-known madrasa in Akora Khattak, located in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province. The explosion occurred during the Friday prayers, causing panic and chaos among worshippers.
Casualties and Injuries
According to reports, at least 5 people have lost their lives, and over 20 people are injured. The explosion was so intense that its sound was heard from a significant distance. Emergency response teams rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals. Officials fear that the death toll may rise, as many of the injured are in critical condition.
Possible Suicide Attack
KP’s Inspector General of Police (IGP) Zulfiqar Hameed has stated that preliminary investigations suggest it was a suicide bombing. Security agencies and police officials are actively investigating the matter. District Police Chief Abdul Rashid is closely monitoring the situation.
Emergency Declared in Nowshera
Following the explosion, authorities have declared an emergency in Nowshera district. Rescue 1122 spokesperson Bilal Faizi confirmed that the injured were being treated at local hospitals, and emergency services are on high alert.
PM Shehbaz Sharif’s Reaction
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow over the incident. Calling it a “cowardly act of terrorism,” he strongly condemned the attack.
His office released a statement saying:
“This tragic attack will not weaken our resolve to fight terrorism. The government is keeping a close watch on the situation. The injured will receive the best medical treatment, and we pray for their speedy recovery.”

Pakistan’s Ministry of Interior also responded to the attack on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), stating:
“We are fully committed to eradicating terrorism from the country. The enemy is trying to destabilize Pakistan, but with the support of our people, we will foil every evil plan.”
