Patel, a resident of Gujarat, India, who went to shocking lengths to enter the U.S. by assuming a fake identity as a Pakistani citizen named Mohammad Nazir Hussain. However, his disguise did not last long, as American authorities exposed his true identity and deported him back to India.

How Patel’s Fake Identity Was Uncovered

According to a Times of India report, Patel managed to acquire a Pakistani passport under the name Mohammad Nazir Hussain. With this fraudulent document, he attempted to enter the U.S. However, American immigration officials detected the forgery, leading to his immediate deportation.

On February 12, Patel was put on flight AA-292 and sent back to Delhi Airport, where Indian police arrested him as soon as he landed.

After Patel was caught, Indian authorities were shocked to find that he had an authentic Pakistani passport, which originally belonged to someone named Mohammad Nazir Hussain. It turned out that this passport was lost, and Patel obtained it through illegal means.

During police interrogation, Patel confessed that he paid a large sum of money to an agent in Dubai to change his identity and obtain fake travel documents. His original Indian passport had expired in 2016, but instead of renewing it, he sought the help of human traffickers to arrange his illegal journey to the U.S.

How Human Traffickers Operate

Sources reveal that human traffickers often select lost or stolen passports from countries whose visa acceptance rate is high. Sometimes, they even use passports of UAE citizens to help illegal migrants enter the United States or Europe.

Legal Trouble for Patel in India

Patel’s troubles did not end with deportation. Now, he is facing serious legal charges in India. Delhi Police has filed a case against him for:

  • Traveling with a fake passport
  • Misusing another country’s documents
