Gwalior News:-A young man fled with the driver’s Ertiga taxi after giving him an intoxicating cold drink

Gwalior News:-A shocking case has come to light from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, where a taxi driver was allegedly drugged with a cold drink and his Ertiga car was stolen. The incident took place on July 16 in the Station Bajaria area under the Padav police station limits.

Here’s what happened:

The victim, Rameshwar Singh Tomar, is a professional taxi driver. On the day of the incident, he was waiting for customers near Station Bajaria with his white Ertiga taxi (registration number MP07 CK-7182).

While he was waiting, a young man approached him and said he needed to book the car to take a patient from Birla Hospital to Dabra. Trusting the man, Rameshwar agreed and they began the journey.

The trap was set mid-route

According to the police report, during the drive, the young man stopped at a small shop and bought a cold drink. When they reached near Birla Hospital, the passenger asked the driver to stop the car. He then offered the same cold drink to Rameshwar.

As soon as Rameshwar drank it, he began to feel dizzy and quickly lost consciousness. He remembers nothing after that.

Left unconscious in the bushes

When he regained consciousness hours later, Rameshwar found himself lying in the bushes near the Pinto Park area. Local residents saw him and identified him. They helped him return home safely.

Once he reached home and fully recovered, he informed his family about the entire incident. Together, they went to the Padav police station and filed an official complaint.

Police Investigation and CCTV footage

Acting on the complaint, police began an investigation. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Suman Gurjar confirmed that a case has been registered. During the investigation, police found CCTV footage from a shop in the Gole Ka Mandir area. The footage clearly shows the accused youth buying the cold drink and getting into the Ertiga car.

Police are now analyzing the footage and trying to identify the accused. ASP Suman Gurjar also confirmed that the search for the accused is ongoing, and all leads are being followed.

Community in shock

This incident has created fear among local taxi drivers and residents, as it shows how easily someone can become a victim of such pre-planned crimes. Drivers in the area are now being extra cautious with unknown passengers.
