It is said that sometimes time brings us to such a point where reality becomes more shocking than imagination. Something similar happened with Noida engineer Awadhesh Sharma, whose life became like a nightmare for five years. Know the full story?
Noida News:-Sometimes life takes such unexpected turns that even the wildest imagination falls short. This is exactly what happened to Avdhesh Sharma, an engineer from Noida, who spent five long years living under the shadow of a horrific accusation – the murder of his own wife and daughter. But in a shocking twist, a single OTP (One-Time Password) revealed a truth that no one could have imagined.
The Day Everything Changed
It all began on July 3, 2020. Avdhesh Sharma, a resident of Barola village in Noida, came home to an empty house. His wife Anju and their daughter had vanished without a trace. There had been no major argument, no visible conflict. But their sudden disappearance shattered Avdhesh.
Desperate and helpless, he went to the local police station and filed a missing complaint. But days turned into weeks, and the local police did not take his case seriously. Avdhesh searched everywhere, clinging to hope, but his wife and daughter were nowhere to be found.
Bodies on the Railway Tracks: A Horrifying Discovery
On July 20, 2020, a chilling discovery was made. Two mutilated bodies – one of a woman and another of a teenage girl – were found on the Shahdara railway tracks in Delhi. The bodies were severely damaged, making identification difficult. It was the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, and due to strict protocols, Delhi Police performed the last rites without conducting a DNA test.
However, based on photos and clothing, Anju’s family members identified the bodies as those of Anju and her daughter. But Avdhesh refused to accept it. He believed – no, he knew – that his wife and daughter would never take their own lives.
Yet the police insisted it was a case of suicide. They closed the case, marking it as a “suicide case,” leaving Avdhesh shattered. But he was not ready to give up. He approached the High Court, demanding a fresh investigation. But even after a second investigation, the same conclusion came – suicide. Avdhesh was left helpless, fighting not just for justice but also against a cloud of suspicion cast upon him.
Living with Accusations and Doubt
While Avdhesh was struggling to prove his innocence, whispers spread in his neighborhood. Some looked at him with sympathy, while others with suspicion. Even though Anju’s family did not file a murder case, they could not hide their doubts.
For five years, Avdhesh’s life was a nightmare – a man who was seen as a husband who might have killed his own family. He became a man living in shadows, trapped between pain and hope.
The Twist: A Shocking OTP and a Truth Nobody Expected
Everything changed on April 23, 2025. It was just another ordinary day when Avdhesh received an unexpected OTP (One-Time Password) on his phone – an OTP from the Aadhaar website. Confused, he immediately checked and realized that the OTP was related to Anju’s Aadhaar card, which was still linked to his mobile number.
Avdhesh’s heart raced. He knew this could be the clue he was waiting for. He rushed to the police and explained everything. The police quickly reached out to the Aadhaar agency, and what they discovered was nothing short of a miracle.
They found that Anju had been trying to update her Aadhaar card. The agency also provided three active mobile numbers associated with her identity. Tracing these numbers, the police discovered that Anju and her daughter were alive and living in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
The Truth Unveiled: A New Life in Jodhpur
On May 2, 2025, the police reached Jodhpur and found Anju and her daughter – alive, healthy, and living a new life. Anju had left her home in 2020 with her daughter, escaping to Jodhpur. She had started working in a beauty parlor and had been living under a new identity.
But why did she leave? Why didn’t she contact anyone? Was it an escape from an unhappy marriage, a fear of something else, or a choice for a fresh start? These are the questions that only Anju can answer.
For Avdhesh, however, this was a moment of relief and vindication. The dark cloud of suspicion that had loomed over him for five long years finally lifted. His wife and daughter were not dead, and he was not a murderer.
The Aftermath: A Second Chance at Life
Anju and her daughter were brought back to Noida, where they are now staying at a One-Stop Center for counseling and support. Avdhesh, who had suffered humiliation, suspicion, and endless pain, now sees a light at the end of his dark tunnel.
Speaking to the media, Avdhesh said, “I never stopped believing in their innocence. I always knew they were not dead. I don’t know why Anju did what she did, but I am ready to forgive and start fresh with my family.”
A family torn apart by misunderstanding, a man accused of a crime he did not commit, and a wife who chose silence over confrontation – this is not just the story of Avdhesh Sharma. It is a story of betrayal, survival, and an unexpected twist of fate.
