Vicky Kaushal Mahavtar Movies:-At the ongoing WAVES 2025 summit in Mumbai, Dinesh Vijan, the founder of Maddock Films, shared some interesting insights about the future of Indian cinema. Speaking as one of the main panelists, he emphasized the importance of telling stories that are deeply rooted in Indian culture. He believes that now more than ever, filmmakers should focus on narratives that connect with the common people.
Vijan also revealed that his upcoming film Mahavatar, starring Vicky Kaushal, is the biggest and most ambitious project Maddock Films has ever taken on. He said, “We are at a very exciting place right now. Post-pandemic, we’ve realized the value of stories made for everyday people. The audience is evolving, and so is our approach to cinema.”
He pointed out an interesting trend — people in metro cities often wait for reviews before watching a film in theatres, while audiences in smaller towns are more enthusiastic about experiencing movies on the big screen. This change in audience behavior is shaping how the industry functions and how films are made.
“Once your films start performing well in different markets, you get the financial strength to take on bigger projects. That’s why we’re making Mahavatar — probably our biggest film yet,” Vijan added. “The technology is available, and now we want to use it to create a world-class film.”
For those unfamiliar, Mahavatar was officially announced in November last year. In this mythological-action film, Vicky Kaushal will play the role of Chiranjeevi Parshuram, a legendary figure in Indian mythology. The movie is slated for release around Christmas 2026.
Vicky Kaushal was last seen in Chhava, and fans are excited to see him in a larger-than-life role in Mahavatar. With its blend of Indian mythology, modern technology, and mass appeal, this film is expected to set a new benchmark in Indian cinema.
