Atul Subhash Suicide Case:-Bengaluru-based Atul Subhash, 34, who was an AI engineer and deputy general manager at an automobile firm, recently committed suicide. The incident made headlines across the country when Atul left a 24-page suicide note and an 81-minute video before his death. In both of these, he made serious allegations against his wife Nikita Singhania, her mother Nisha Singhania, and brother Anurag Singhania.
Atul clearly stated in his suicide note and video that his wife and in-laws were constantly harassing him mentally and financially. He said that they considered him a “money machine” and used it against him by extorting money from him. Atul also accused them of demanding Rs 30 lakh for getting the right to meet his son and Rs 3 crore for withdrawing the case against him.
Arrest?
Police took action in this case:
Nikita Singhania was arrested from Gurugram, Haryana. His mother Nisha Singhania and brother Anurag Singhania were arrested from Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh.
The police arrested these accused with the help of Uttar Pradesh Police. They were later produced in court and sent to judicial custody.
Atul’s last ordeal
Atul said in the video that his wife and in-laws have mentally broken him. He told that he got married to Nikita in 2019, but since the marriage, nine cases were registered against him under dowry, unnatural sex and other serious charges. In some of these cases, his parents were also made accused.
Atul expressed his anguish in his video and said:
“I want to see my son, but for this I am being asked for money.”
“False cases have been registered against me. I do not have the strength to fight.”
“I have been a victim of harassment by my in-laws and wife. Now I can’t bear it anymore.” In the video, he was seen carrying a board demanding justice, which read: “Justice must be served.”

Atul also alleged in his suicide note that a family court judge in Uttar Pradesh favoured his in-laws. He also accused it of corruption.

Atul’s suicide has raised questions on the serious effects of mental harassment caused by dowry, false allegations and family disputes in society. The case has also shown how many people suffer mental breakdowns due to false allegations and legal battles.
