Imagine, you spend ₹ 2.6 lakh to order a new MacBook Pro online, and get an old, used laptop in return – not once, but twice.

MacBook:-Imagine spending ₹2.6 lakh to buy a brand-new MacBook Pro — only to receive a used and scratched laptop. Not just once, but two times in a row. That’s exactly what happened to Devanshu Dhandhal, a customer who is now publicly calling out Flipkart for this shocking experience.
📦 The First Delivery Shock
Devanshu ordered a MacBook Pro from Flipkart. To be safe, he recorded an unboxing video as the package arrived. From the outside, everything looked fine — the box was sealed and seemed untouched. But when he opened it, he was shocked to find a used MacBook, clearly showing scratches, smudges, and signs of use.
He still gave the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe it was just a one-time mistake. So, he requested a replacement.
📹 Second Delivery — Under CCTV, Same Result
This time, he wasn’t taking any chances. He went to the Ekart Logistics Office and opened the box under CCTV surveillance. To his disbelief, the second MacBook was also used — with visible marks and smudges again.
📞 Flipkart’s Support Made It Worse
When he contacted Flipkart’s customer support, they initially agreed to accept a return. But things quickly got strange. Devanshu says they offered him:
-
₹13,000 as compensation,
-
then ₹18,000,
-
and finally just 10% of the product’s price.
He refused all offers — he didn’t want partial compensation for a product that was never new to begin with. What’s worse? Flipkart later rejected his return request altogether.
🤯 “It Was Never a New Laptop”
Devanshu clarified,
“Yes, I cleaned the smudges. But that’s not the point. It was never a new laptop.”
He said he felt trapped. Out of frustration, he even requested a 10% compensation just for the inconvenience — but Flipkart denied that too.
🕵️ Not an Isolated Case?
What makes this issue even more worrying is that Devanshu is not alone. He claims the same seller, named “Treasure Haul Online”, has been accused of doing the same thing repeatedly since 2023.
People on LinkedIn, Reddit, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter) have shared similar experiences — all involving used or fake products sold as new by this same seller.
Devanshu posted a detailed video about his experience to warn others — and it’s now gaining traction across social media.
❓ Serious Questions for Flipkart
So far, Flipkart has not made any public statement about the incident. But this entire episode raises serious questions:
-
How well does Flipkart monitor third-party sellers?
-
Why are such sellers allowed to continue on the platform after multiple complaints?
-
And most importantly — how safe is it to buy high-value tech online anymore?
Devanshu’s experience stands as a warning for anyone buying expensive electronics online. If you’re planning to order something costly, here are some quick tips:
-
Always record an unboxing video.
-
Check the seller’s name and ratings before placing an order.
-
Choose Flipkart Assured or trusted sellers, especially for gadgets.
-
If something feels wrong, act quickly and document everything.
