A heartbreaking case has come to light from Charkhi Dadri in Haryana. The death of a 24-year-old female clerk under suspicious circumstances has shaken the entire area. Know more about it?

Charkhi Dadri News:-A shocking incident has come to light from Charkhi Dadri, Haryana, where 24-year-old Preeti, a government clerk working in the Public Works Department (PWD), was found dead under suspicious circumstances. Her death has created a wave of grief and anger among her family members, who allege that Preeti was murdered by her in-laws.
What Happened?
Preeti’s father Jagbir, a resident of Ghikada Road in Dadri, shared that his daughter had done a love marriage five years ago in 2020 with a young man named Ashish, who lives in the Dadri city area. The same year, Preeti had secured a government job as a clerk in PWD and was posted at the Dadri Rest House.
According to Jagbir, although the marriage was based on love, Preeti’s married life was full of troubles. Her husband Ashish didn’t work and often fought with her over money. She was reportedly beaten on multiple occasions.
The Shocking Night
On Thursday evening, Preeti returned home from work around 5 PM. At around 7 PM, she spoke to her father on the phone and told him that she was cooking dinner. Everything seemed normal.
But later that night, around 10:45 PM, Jagbir received a shocking call — someone informed him that Preeti had committed suicide and was taken to a private hospital.
Jagbir rushed to the hospital, only to find Preeti’s dead body lying inside a car in the hospital parking lot. Even more disturbing was that her in-laws had left the body in the car and disappeared. Jagbir and his relatives broke the car window to take her body out and immediately informed the police. The body was then taken to the Charkhi Dadri Civil Hospital morgue.
What the Family Says
Jagbir has strongly alleged that Preeti was electrocuted to death. He pointed out that her toe and finger were burnt, which clearly indicated an electric shock, not suicide by hanging as the in-laws claimed. He also shared photos of the burns on her feet as evidence.
Jagbir further said that Ashish and his family had a history of abuse. Based on his complaint, the police have filed a murder case against:
-
Ashish (husband)
-
Deepak (Ashish’s younger brother)
-
Sandeep (Ashish’s maternal uncle)
-
Pramila (Ashish’s maternal aunt)
Police Investigation Underway
On Friday, DSP Dheeraj Kumar, SHO Sunny Kumar, and the Forensic Science Lab (FSL) team reached the Civil Hospital. They inspected the body thoroughly for nearly 30 minutes and then went to the crime scene to gather more clues. A detailed investigation is ongoing.
Preeti’s Family and Children
Preeti was the mother of two small children — a 3.5-year-old daughter and a 1.5-year-old son. Jagbir is devastated and keeps asking, “Who will take care of her children now?”
Preeti’s father is demanding strict punishment and justice for his daughter. He was seen crying inconsolably outside the postmortem room, pleading with the authorities to ensure the culprits are punished.
This case has once again raised concerns about domestic violence and how even independent, working women are not safe in their own homes. The truth will now depend on a fair and honest investigation by the police and forensic experts.
