The bright sunshine during the day is making people feel hot. If we talk about the last month, then November 2024 was very unusual for the country. It was the second hottest November after 1901. During this time the average maximum temperature was recorded at 29.37 degrees Celsius, which was 0.62 degrees more than normal.
Meteorologists and experts are constantly warning that the temperature of the earth is increasing due to global warming. This is having a direct impact on our weather. In the month of November, when the cold usually starts, people in many parts of the country were facing heat. Due to this there was a delay in waiting for winter.

Meteorologist Mahesh Palawat said that the weather cycle is changing due to global warming. He told that for the last few years there has been a decrease in cold weather and an increase in hot days.
What will be the mood of cold in December?
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the cold is expected to increase by mid-December. However, this time the mood of winter will not be like previous years. The minimum temperature may remain above normal in most parts of the country.
Cold wave days will be less
IMD has said that usually cold wave lasts for five to six days in winter. But this time this period is likely to be less. Meaning, very cold may not be experienced this time.
IMD Director General Dr. Mrityunjay Mahapatra said that during this winter the maximum temperature will be above normal in most parts of the country. Only in some parts of South India the maximum temperature is likely to be below normal.

What to do in cold weather?
Even though the cold is less this time, it is important for us to take care of ourselves.
Wear light warm clothes in the morning and evening.
If the sun is strong during the day, apply sunscreen while going out.
Diseases spread more when the weather changes, so include fruits containing vitamin C in your diet.
Drink plenty of water so that the body remains hydrated.
