Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju shared information about this on the social media platform X (earlier Twitter). He said that this meeting has been called to make the upcoming session of Parliament smooth and productive.
The winter session will start from 25 November and will run till 20 December. During this, various legislative issues and the proposed agenda of the government will be discussed.
Importance of all-party meeting
Conducting an all-party meeting before the sessions of Parliament is an important process. Its purpose is to ensure dialogue between the opposition and the government.
Sharing the legislative agenda:
In the meeting, the government gives information about the important bills and proposals to be introduced during the session.
Opposition issues:
Opposition parties put forward their concerns and proposals to the government.
Issues are discussed on which the opposition wants to debate in Parliament.

Special program of Constitution Day
On November 26, 2024, just a day after the start of the winter session, the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of India will be celebrated.
Venue: The program will be held in the Central Hall of the Old Parliament House (Samvidhan Sadan).
Significance: On 26 November 1949, India adopted its Constitution, which came into force on 26 January 1950.
Constitution Day
Earlier every year 26 November was celebrated as National Law Day. But, in 2015, on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Constitution maker Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, it was announced to be celebrated as Constitution Day.
Its objective:
To make the countrymen aware of the Constitution and its values.
To strengthen democratic traditions.
