Bankara area of Howrah (Bengal) is in the news these days for such a shameful and heartbreaking incident that anyone will shudder on hearing it. Know about it?

Howrah News:-What seemed like a normal mother-son business in Howrah’s Bankra area has now turned into a horrifying story that has left everyone shocked.
Shweta Khan, also known as Fultusi, along with her 26-year-old son Aryan, ran an event management company. But behind the curtains, they were allegedly operating something far more disturbing — a full-fledged adult film and sex trafficking racket.
Not Even Her Daughter Was Spared
What makes this case even more horrifying is that Fultusi didn’t even spare her own daughter, Ishika. According to reports, she tried to force her underage daughter into this illegal business. When Ishika resisted, she was mentally and physically tortured.
Unable to take the abuse, Ishika died by suicide in 2021 at the age of 18.
At the time, many people had questions about her death. But due to political connections and threats, the matter was quietly buried. Local people now say they always suspected something wrong was happening, but couldn’t speak up out of fear.
New Victim Escapes and Breaks Silence
The dark truth came out recently when a 22-year-old woman, who was trapped in the racket for three months, somehow escaped and informed the police. She is currently in serious condition at a hospital, but her statement was enough to reopen the entire case.
The police are now trying to get to the bottom of the case. However, both Fultusi and her son Aryan have gone missing. Their house is locked, phones switched off, and police suspect they may have fled to Bangkok.
Voices From the Community: Everyone Knew the Truth
Local people have now started speaking up.
Akhtar Hussain Mollaha, head of the Bankra 1 Panchayat, said,
“We all knew Ishika was being abused at home. Fultusi and Aryan didn’t leave any solid proof, but everyone knew what was happening.”
A local businessman, Masood Alam Khan, also made a shocking statement. He said his son was Ishika’s classmate in 12th grade.
“Once, Ishika told my son that she wanted to get out of that hell. She even borrowed ₹1500 from him to prepare for a government job.
After her death, Fultusi blackmailed me for ₹2 crore, threatening to file a false case if I didn’t pay. I went to the police, and after an investigation, I was proven innocent.”
Family Members Speak Out
Even Fultusi’s own mother, Shahnaz Begum, admitted that her granddaughter Ishika had suffered a lot.
Fultusi’s ex-husband, Mohammad Syed Mursalim, accused her of marrying him only for money, and later mentally harassing his entire family.
Political Links Under Scrutiny
One of the most disturbing parts of this case is Fultusi’s political connections. Her social media is full of photos with local political leaders, and many say she used these connections to threaten and silence people.
She was reportedly associated with the minority cell of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and had even taken part in campaigning for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
When questioned, state minister Arup Roy said,
“I don’t know this woman. If someone has misused the party’s name for personal gain, strict action will be taken. The party does not support such actions in any form.”
This case isn’t just about one woman or one family — it’s about how power, fear, and silence can protect criminals.
It’s a story of a girl who tried to escape hell but wasn’t heard until it was too late.
It’s also a reminder of the many victims who are still trapped in similar situations, hidden behind smiles, businesses, or political faces.
Now, with police investigations underway and more people speaking up, the hope is that justice will finally be served — for Ishika, and for every other victim like her.
