Amidst the ongoing war between India and Pakistan, DGMO Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai has made a big revelation in an important press briefing. Know the full news?

Ind-Pak War:-During the recent conflict between India and Pakistan, there were continuous reports that countries like Turkey, China, and Azerbaijan were secretly supporting Pakistan through back-channel means. These reports became a major point of discussion during a press briefing by the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of India, Lieutenant General Rajeev Ghai.
China’s Missiles Used by Pakistan: DGMO’s Revelation
During the press briefing, DGMO Lieutenant General Rajeev Ghai openly named China, stating that Pakistan’s military used missiles supplied by China in its attacks against India during Operation Sindoor. He explained that these Chinese missiles were aimed at hitting Indian targets but failed. Fortunately, the Indian Army managed to recover these missiles, providing clear evidence of Chinese support to Pakistan.
General Ghai also emphasized that the Indian Navy, using various sensors and intelligence inputs, has been maintaining continuous surveillance over the region. He added that an armed Pakistani drone was shot down by India’s air defense grid and shoulder-fired weapons.
Pakistan’s Fake Claims Exposed
Pakistan repeatedly tried to spread false information, claiming that it had destroyed the air defense system at Udhampur Airbase in India. To support this claim, several old and fake videos were circulated online. However, these false claims were quickly exposed within minutes.
Air Marshal AK Bharti, addressing the media, clearly stated, “I want to make it absolutely clear that all our military bases are fully operational and ready for any mission whenever required.”
Pakistan Made the Fight Against Terrorism Its Own War
During the same press conference, Air Operation Director General Awadhesh Bharti revealed how the Indian Air Force had conducted precise strikes against terrorist hideouts on May 7. These attacks were strictly against terrorist targets, but Pakistan’s army chose to defend the terrorists instead. Bharti pointed out that by supporting the terrorists, the Pakistani Army turned the anti-terror fight into its own war. He stressed that Pakistan itself is responsible for the consequences.
DGMO Lieutenant General Rajeev Ghai, answering a question, highlighted that terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir had been happening for a long time, and Pahalgam had become a hotspot for terror activities. The Indian forces were already prepared with air defense systems in place. Although Pakistan’s air force attempted several attacks, all their efforts were unsuccessful.
India’s Strong Air Defense System: How It Neutralized Pakistani Drones
Air Marshal AK Bharti further revealed that multiple waves of armed drones and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) sent by Pakistan were intercepted and destroyed by India’s advanced air defense systems. These systems, which are a combination of soft kill (jamming) and hard kill (destruction) methods, are operated by highly trained Indian Air Defense personnel.
He clarified that while Pakistan launched several attacks, India’s air defense systems – which include a variety of technologies such as low-level firing systems, surface-to-air missiles, and long-range as well as short-range missiles – were all activated together. Despite the intensity of the attacks, Indian defense forces managed to keep the damage to civilian and military infrastructure at a minimum.
Pakistan’s Chinese-Origin Weapons and Drones
Bharti also confirmed that the attacks by Pakistan involved Chinese-origin missiles, including long-range rockets and UAVs. Some of the drones and helicopters used were also of Chinese origin, while a few were later identified as Turkish-made. However, Indian air defense systems managed to shoot them down, ensuring the safety of Indian territory.
He assured the nation by saying, “I want to make it very clear that all our military bases and equipment are fully operational and ready for any mission if needed.”
India’s Defense Grid: A Strong Network Against Any Attack
General Rajeev Ghai emphasized that it is extremely difficult for any enemy to target India’s airfields and logistics. He used an interesting cricket reference, mentioning that Virat Kohli recently retired from Test cricket and praised him as one of his favorite players. Referring to a famous saying from the 1970s Ashes series between Australia and England, he said, “Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if Thomson doesn’t get you, then Lillee must.”
