Maharashtra Mahayuti:-The political tussle going on since the assembly elections in Maharashtra finally seems to be ending. After a long period of speculation about the post of Chief Minister and government formation, now the date and place of the swearing-in ceremony have been decided. The swearing-in ceremony of the Mahayuti government will be held on December 5 at the historic Azad Maidan in Mumbai. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also attend this occasion.
What is the swearing-in program?
Giving information about this, state BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule wrote on social media that the ceremony will start at 5 pm. Calling it a historic occasion, he has appealed to supporters and party workers to attend in large numbers. Bawankule said, “This ceremony will be held in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which will make it more special.”
Consensus reached on Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Ministers
Although the name for the post of Chief Minister has not been announced yet, it has been decided that the Chief Minister will be from BJP. At the same time, one Deputy Chief Minister will be made from both the alliance parties—Balasaheb Shiv Sena and NCP (Ajit Pawar faction)—one Deputy Chief Minister each.
BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis is considered to be the strongest contender for the post of Chief Minister. Acting Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and NCP leader Ajit Pawar can also play important roles in the new government.
BJP Legislature Party meeting and final round of strategy
A meeting of the BJP Legislature Party has been called on December 2 for the final decision on the post of Chief Minister. The leader of the Legislature Party will be elected in this meeting. Earlier, the top leaders of the Mahayuti met BJP National President J. P. Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. It is being told that a decisive meeting will also be held on December 1, in which all the issues will be finalized.
Election results: Great performance of Mahayuti
The Mahayuti alliance performed brilliantly in the elections held on November 20. The alliance won 230 out of 288 seats. In this, BJP strengthened its position as the largest party by winning 132 seats. Balasaheb’s Shiv Sena won 62 seats, while the Ajit Pawar faction of the NCP won 36 seats.
On the other hand, the Congress and its allies suffered a crushing defeat. The Congress was limited to only 16 seats, Sharad Pawar’s NCP got 10 seats, and Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT) won 20 seats.
Mahayuti government
Regarding the Mahayuti government, the BJP and its allies have promised the public that they will take the state on a new path of development. BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis said that this government will work for every section of Maharashtra and will live up to the trust of the people.
Now all eyes are on the swearing-in ceremony to be held on December 5. On this historic day, the new government of Maharashtra will be inaugurated, which will see the leadership of the alliance of three big parties.
