Meerut Saurabh murder case:-The murder of Saurabh Kumar in Meerut has left the city in shock. What seemed like a normal married life turned into a gruesome crime when Saurabh was brutally killed by his wife, Muskan Rastogi, and her lover, Sahil Shukla. The case has taken several new turns, with Saurabh’s family now raising suspicion over Muskan’s parents’ involvement.
Saurabh’s Family Accuses Muskan’s Parents
On Wednesday, a mourning ceremony was held at Saurabh’s house in Brahmpuri, where family members and relatives gathered to pay their last respects. The scene was filled with sorrow, as Saurabh’s mother, Renu Singh, broke down and had to be given water and medical attention. His brother, Bablu, couldn’t control his tears.
During the gathering, Saurabh’s family openly expressed their suspicion regarding Muskan’s parents. They believe that her family might have played a role in the murder and should also be investigated. Senior BJP leaders have assured the family that justice will be served and that they are in talks with police officials to ensure a speedy trial.
Brother Wants Custody of Saurabh’s Daughter
Saurabh’s brother, Bablu, is now fighting to bring his niece, Pihu, to his home. He does not want her to be raised in the same environment as Muskan, fearing that she might be influenced negatively. Meanwhile, six-year-old Pihu often cries for her parents. Muskan’s family tries to calm her down by giving her a mobile phone, but she keeps asking for her mother.
Muskan’s Parents Are Avoiding Public Appearance
Ever since the murder came to light, Muskan’s parents have been avoiding public appearances. Her father, Pramod Rastogi, has shut his shop for the last eight days, and her mother, Kavita Rastogi, has limited contact with the outside world. However, Kavita has stated that they are fully cooperating with the police and have provided all necessary documents, including property papers and bank records.
Police Investigations and Forensic Analysis
On Tuesday, ASP Brahmpuri, Antriksh Jain, along with a forensic team, visited the crime scene at the rented house where Saurabh and Muskan lived. They collected blood samples, fingerprints, and other crucial evidence. The team also mapped out the bedroom and bathroom where the crime took place. Videography and photography were done to ensure a strong case against the accused.
The Shocking Murder: How It Happened
Saurabh, a 29-year-old professional working in London, had returned to India on February 24 to celebrate his wife Muskan’s birthday on February 25 and his daughter Pihu’s birthday on February 28. However, just a few days later, on the night of March 3, Muskan and her lover Sahil executed their horrific plan.
Muskan allegedly mixed a sedative in Saurabh’s food, making him unconscious. Then, she called Sahil to the house, where they stabbed Saurabh multiple times. To cover up the crime, they chopped his body into 15 pieces, placed them in a plastic drum, and sealed it with cement and dust.
The Unfolding of the Crime
After committing the crime, Muskan left for Himachal Pradesh with Sahil on March 4, leaving her daughter at her parents’ home. They traveled to Shimla, Kasol, and Manali, enjoying their time as if nothing had happened. Meanwhile, back in Meerut, Saurabh’s disappearance started raising suspicions.
On March 18, Muskan returned to Meerut and, along with her father, approached the Brahmpuri police station, pretending to be concerned about Saurabh’s whereabouts. However, under police interrogation, the truth soon came out. Both Muskan and Sahil were arrested, and Saurabh’s body was recovered from the drum.
Legal Actions and Police Investigation
The police have assured that the case will be taken to a fast-track court for quick justice. BJP leader Kamal Dutt Sharma has also promised legal assistance to the family. The police are gathering final pieces of evidence to submit the charge sheet soon.
This case has left Meerut in disbelief. A young man who had come back from London to celebrate his family’s happiness was brutally murdered by the very person he trusted the most. The tragedy has sparked conversations about trust, betrayal, and the dark side of relationships.
