Sangli Crime News:-A shocking murder case has come to light in Shirala Taluka, Sangli district, Maharashtra. A man named Mangesh Kamble brutally killed his wife, Prajakta Kamble (28), and then hid her body in a cardboard box meant for an electric pump. After committing the crime, Mangesh went straight to the police station and confessed to the murder. The police immediately took him into custody and have started further investigation.

Reason Behind the Murder – Husband Suspected Wife’s Character

During the initial investigation, police found that Mangesh suspected his wife’s character, which led to this horrifying crime. Mangesh and Prajakta had a love marriage eight years ago, despite belonging to different castes. For the past 15 years, Mangesh’s mother and his younger brother, Nilesh, had been living in Mangale village, Shirala Taluka. They were staying in a rented house near Jyotiba Temple, owned by Ramchandra Wagh.

Four days before the incident, Mangesh, along with his wife Prajakta and their children, had come from Mumbai to visit his family. Everything seemed normal until the day of the murder.

How the Murder Happened?

On Thursday morning, Mangesh and his brother Nilesh had gone out for some work. Around 10 AM, when Mangesh returned home, he and Prajakta got into a heated argument. The fight escalated quickly, and in a fit of rage, Mangesh strangled Prajakta using a rope.

After killing her, he bent her hands and legs and stuffed her body inside a damaged cardboard box meant for an electric pump. To avoid suspicion, he locked the room from the outside and left.

How the Murder Got Exposed?

After committing the crime, Mangesh called his brother Nilesh and told him, “I’m going to Shirala. Bring the car home.” Nilesh didn’t suspect anything at first. However, when he reached home, he didn’t find Mangesh there. Instead, he saw Mangesh’s six-year-old son, Shivam, standing at the door, crying.

Seeing the child in distress, Nilesh tried to comfort him and asked why he was crying. What the little boy said next was chilling. Shivam innocently replied, “Papa killed Mummy and locked her inside the room.”

This shocking revelation led to the discovery of the crime. The family immediately informed the police, and the case came into the public eye.

Current Investigation

The police have arrested Mangesh Kamble and registered a case against him under murder and other relevant sections. Investigations are ongoing, and the police are also questioning family members and neighbors to understand the complete background of the case.

This tragic incident highlights how doubt and anger can lead to devastating consequences. It has left the entire village in shock, and the innocent six-year-old boy is now left without his mother.
