Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has launched a new online application portal for its candidates from 28 May 2025. Now all the major exams of UPSC, know about it 

UPSC launched new application portal:-The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially launched its new application portal: https://upsconline.nic.in. Starting May 28, 2025, all candidates will now need to use this new system for registration and submitting application forms for UPSC exams.
This move is aimed at making the application process smoother and more organized for lakhs of aspirants who apply for various UPSC exams each year.
What’s New About This Portal?
UPSC has explained that this portal will work in four main sections, shown as cards on the homepage:

Account Creation

Universal Registration
-
Common Application Form
-
Examination Section
The first three sections contain general information that candidates can fill anytime, even before the exam notification is released. This means candidates can prepare their profile in advance, saving time and avoiding last-minute rush.
The fourth section—Examination—will become active only when a particular exam notification is released. It includes:

The application link for that exam

Application status tracking
No More Old OTR System
UPSC has also announced that the old One-Time Registration (OTR) system will no longer be used. All new applicants must now register through the new portal only.
Important for CDS-II and NDA & NA-II 2025 Applicants
Those planning to apply for CDS Exam-II 2025 or NDA & NA-II Exam 2025 should note that their application will only be accepted through the new portal. Forms submitted anywhere else will not be considered.
Use Aadhaar Card for Easy Verification
UPSC recommends using your Aadhaar card as the identity proof while registering. This helps in fast and smooth verification of your personal details. Once your information is verified and saved, it becomes your universal record for all future exams conducted by UPSC.
