Hyderabad News:-In a tragic incident on Sunday, a massive fire broke out at a building near the historic Charminar in Hyderabad’s Gulzar House area, resulting in the death of 17 people, including eight innocent children. The incident has left the entire city in shock, with scenes of chaos and grief at the site.

The fire reportedly started around 6:00 a.m., and the fire department received an emergency call at approximately 6:30 a.m. Responding quickly, firefighters reached the scene and began rescue operations. However, despite their efforts, many people were trapped in the burning building, and several were found unconscious. They were immediately rushed to nearby hospitals, but 17 of them were declared dead upon arrival.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his deep sorrow over the incident. In an official statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), he said, “I am deeply saddened by the loss of lives in the fire incident in Hyderabad, Telangana. My heartfelt condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. An ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund will be provided to the next of kin of each deceased, while ₹50,000 will be given to the injured.”

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy also expressed his condolences over the tragic incident. He instructed officials to ensure proper medical care for the injured and provide all possible support to the affected families.

Union Minister and Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy visited the incident site and expressed his concerns. He pointed out that locals had informed him about the lack of adequate firefighting equipment. He promised to speak with the central government and the Prime Minister about the issue. “Such incidents are extremely tragic. It is necessary to ensure that our firefighting departments are well-equipped,” he stated.

Congress MP Anil Kumar Yadav, who was also present at the scene, revealed that a family of 17 members was trapped in the building when the fire broke out. He assured that the state government was in touch with the affected family and that rescue operations were being closely monitored.

AIMIM leader and former MLA Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, who was present at the site, confirmed that around 20 people were rushed to hospitals, while several others were being rescued.

The Telangana Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) issued an official statement directing authorities to provide immediate medical attention to the injured and take all necessary measures to prevent further loss of life.

Initial reports suggest that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit, but the exact cause is yet to be confirmed. Police and fire department officials are conducting an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the disaster.

This heartbreaking incident has once again highlighted the need for improved fire safety measures in residential buildings and the importance of ensuring that firefighting departments are adequately equipped to handle emergencies.
