According to reports, Kuldeep Yadav and his wife got into a verbal spat over a personal issue. During the argument, in a moment of anger, his wife allegedly told him, “Go die”. These words proved fatal, as the emotionally distraught farmer leader proceeded to hang himself.

Family members found him and rushed him to the hospital, but despite efforts, he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday.

Before ending his life, Kuldeep Yadav recorded and posted a video on Facebook. In the video, his wife can be seen standing in the courtyard of their home, talking to someone on the phone. When Kuldeep says something to her, she retorts angrily, “Go die.” She then continues her phone call and is heard saying, “He won’t die, he’s pretending. He will kill us instead.”

Not only the video, but a handwritten suicide note addressed to the Chief Minister was also shared online. In the letter, Kuldeep named five individuals, including his wife, stating that they were threatening to kill him and would be responsible for his death. He appealed for justice, writing that “These people should be hanged.”

After Kuldeep’s death, his video and suicide note quickly went viral on social media, sparking outrage and debate. The Medical College Chowki Police conducted the formalities of the panchnama (inquest) and sent the body for post-mortem.
