“We will not be spared in Pakistan” – The painful story of the displaced people of Barmer

Borders do not only determine geography, but also determine the direction of human hopes, pain and dreams. With the desire for peace and safe life among loved ones in your own country, know the complete story in this blog? Pakistan bharat Barmer

Barmer News:-Imagine selling everything you own — your land, your home, your farms, and your business — just to find peace and safety in another country. Now imagine being told to go back to the place you escaped from, where death could be waiting for you.
This is the heartbreaking reality for dozens of Hindu families who crossed over from Pakistan into India, hoping to build a better and safer life.

After the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the Indian government issued a new order that has left these families in deep shock. Under this order, many families who had been living near the India-Pakistan border in Barmer, Rajasthan, are now being sent back across the border to Pakistan — the very place they fled from.

Cries That Tear Through the Heart

Every day, outside the CBCID (Crime Branch – Criminal Investigation Department) office in Barmer, long lines of helpless families can be seen. Men, women, and children stand with folded hands, begging the authorities:
“If you want to kill us, kill us here, but please don’t send us back to Pakistan.”

Their voices are full of fear and pain. These families are not just worried — they are terrified. They say they escaped extreme persecution, religious hatred, and violence in Pakistan. They left behind generations of memories, sold their properties for whatever little money they could get, and crossed into India to find peace.
Now, being forced to return feels worse than a death sentence.

“We Will Not Be Spared”

After the Pahalgam attack, tensions between India and Pakistan have risen sharply. The Hindu families say that conditions for Hindus in Pakistan have become even worse since the attack.
According to Narpat Singh Dhara, the District President of the Pakistan Displaced Union in Barmer, nine families have already been forced to return to Pakistan.
He explains that although some relatives still live across the border, the ground reality has changed. Pakistan is now cracking down even harder on Hindu minorities, and anyone who had earlier left the country is seen with suspicion and hostility.

“They will not spare us if we go back,” says Narpat Singh.

Dreams Shattered Again

Most of these families had dreamed of starting fresh lives in India. They believed India — the land of their faith and ancestors — would welcome them.
Instead, they now face an unimaginable horror: either return to a place of guaranteed suffering or stay illegally and live in fear of deportation.

For them, India was supposed to be their new beginning. But now, it feels like their worst nightmare.

Many of them say they would rather die on Indian soil than go back to Pakistan. The fear in their eyes is real. Their stories are filled with broken dreams, endless suffering, and an uncertain future.

At the heart of this tragedy is a simple question:
Where should they go?
These are families without a country. Their homes in Pakistan are lost forever. Their hope in India is slipping away. All they ask for is a chance — a chance to live, to work, to raise their children in peace.

In the middle of political orders and national security concerns, these human stories are getting crushed.
Their future now hangs in the balance, waiting for someone to hear their plea — not as immigrants, not as numbers on a paper, but as human beings who only want to survive.
